The Lesson Planner

So I've never really considered a career in education, not from an educators point of view at least, I mean, I'd happily take a career as a full time student for the rest of my life before going back to a job like I had in Dominos, but unfortunately the Tories made education expensive, and I'm running out of funded courses. So for this reason I have considered doing a PGCE, but mostly so that I have the option to teach if I need to, and so that I can get student funding to feed my kids for another year.

But this experiment has lead me to a strange place where I really feel like I have a lot of knowledge about a subject that I care incredibly deeply about. In times when I've been out of work or in between college courses I've had plenty of ideas over the years where I've said I'll do these video tutorials on that site which pays you for views, a lot more than YouTube does, it'll be great, but actually when I start thinking about what I plan to teach, which has been many different things over the years, filmmaking, animation, screenwriting, sculpture etc.. but the imposter syndrome always kicks in as I begin to pull these 'lesson plans' together.. I can't teach filmmaking, I do it in a different way to other people, it only works for me because I'm a cheat... or whatever, I can sculpt, but I don't know the traditional way of doing it... These ideas always get abandoned. But something happened last night, where I got incredibly inspired and wrote two small lectures about creativity, and I feel like I could actually go and teach people about this.. Over the years my interests have changed dramatically very quickly, and so I can do a lot of things, but I can do nothing really well, I've simply not spent enough time doing any one thing to be good enough at it to teach that subject. But something that has been relevant through out my whole life is creativity, so I believe that it is something I have the right to talk about and teach, more than anything else at least.

I don't really know what to do with these lectures, but I'm really glad I wrote them, and it's very exciting.

I've added just this one, I want to add a physical, practical, experiment to these lectures to go along side this..
